On Monday, Philadelphia Union announced that they had signed Marcus Epps. The Union traded up to the 25th spot in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft to pick the midfielder out of South Florida. Epps finished his collegiate career with eight goals and nine assists while being named Second Team All-American Athletic Conference in 2015
Last week the Professional Referee Organization and MLS announced that in-game testing of the Video Assistant Referee has begun in a few preseason games. VAR involves an extra official positioned in a booth with technology that allows access to video from every available broadcast camera angle.
