Middletown, Del. native Kalil ElMedkhar opened his professional scoring account with quite a goal for North Texas SC.
The FC Dallas rookie, a Philadelphia Union Academy and YSC Academy grad, scored in a USL League One match. The former Penn Fusion Academy attacker was acquired in the offseason by FC Dallas after they paid the Union $50,000 in general allocation money for his homegrown rights.
ElMedkhar, who has also played for Reading United, scored 20 goals and dished out 21 assists in 66 appearances for the University of Kentucky before turning pro.
He made his MLS debut on May 29, coming off the bench to play 13 minutes for FC Dallas in their 3-0 loss to the Colorado Rapids.
