Having knocked off D.C. United and Atlanta United, the Union have thus far impressed in what has been their toughest homestand of the season. Now league-leaders Los Angeles FC are in town, and there’s no room for error as the Union fight for the top spot in the East.
The Union have won four of their last five, but they still sit three points behind New York City FC, the only team that’s been better as of late. With five games remaining and only two of them at home—the other being NYCFC on Decision Day—the Union need three points tonight to remain in striking distance of NYCFC.
