Philadelphia Union U-17s fell to D.C. United U-17s 3-1 this past weekend in Atlanta, Georgia. The match began with DCU creating chances with their possession, which ultimately led to DCU taking an early 1-0 lead.
The Union attack came alive shortly after the DCU goal. Philadelphia used counter-attacks which caused pressure and multiple chances towards the net. Philadelphia ultimately struck with a goal of their own in the 35th minute after Jason Aoyama found the back of the net to equalize the match.
Following the goal from Philadelphia, D.C. United was able to take the lead with a goal of their own and would end up adding an insurance goal to earn the 3-1 victory.
