Union Sign Derrick Jones, Ryan Richter to Short-Term Agreements

Philadelphia Union have announced the signing of Derrick Jones and Ryan Richter to short-term agreements ahead of Wednesday night’s friendly against Crystal Palace. Both members are currently with Bethlehem Steel FC and will return to the club following Wednesday’s match.

Jones has started 15 games for Bethlehem Steel FC this season. He’s registered two goals and one assist and is fourth on the team in minutes played with 1,250. A product of the Philadelphia Union Academy, Jones became the first player to ever sign with expansion Steel FC on Dec. 3, 2015. During the 2015-16 academy season, Jones played in 12 games, started nine and scored three goals before signing his professional contract.
