It all seemed so rushed last year for Alejandro Bedoya. The veteran midfielder signed amid fanfare with the Union in early August, was in the lineup later that month, and competed in the playoffs by October.
When the offseason arrived after a first-round postseason loss to Toronto, Bedoya was gassed.
Bedoya, who played with FC Nantes of France's Ligue 1 before coming to the Union, has also been a mainstay with the U.S. national team, having earned 57 caps.
Now the midfielder, who turns 30 next month, is looking forward to his first full Major League Soccer season with the Union, who open their eighth campaign Sunday at Vancouver.
