Union play to a 2-2 draw with Toronto FC

The thermostat suggested Packers-Bears in December at Lambeau Field, but those who braved the cold saw an entertaining Major League Soccer home opener for the Union.

What they didn't see was the Union earn three points, because of a number of factors including a missed penalty kick.

Instead the Union settled for a 2-2 draw against defending Eastern Conference champion Toronto FC before a crowd of 16,795 Saturday afternoon at Talen Energy Stadium.

Game time temperature was 32 degrees, the coldest Union home game in the franchise's eight-year history. The previous record was 41 degrees on March 7, 2015, in a scoreless draw against Colorado.
