Philadelphia Union Name Dick Schreuder As Assistant Coach
Schreuder joins Jim Curtin’s staff after decade-plus playing career and three-and-a-half year tenure as head coach of Dutch side VV Katwijk
CHESTER, Pa. (March 27, 2018) – Philadelphia Union today announced that Dick Schreuder has officially been named as an Assistant Coach. Formerly the head coach of Dutch club VV Katwijk, Schreuder joins B.J. Callaghan, Pat Noonan and Tim Hanley (Goalkeeping Coach) on Union Head Coach Jim Curtin’s staff.
Schreuder joins the Union after three-and-a-half years at the helm of Katwijk, including a 17-7-6 mark in the 2015-16 Topklasse that saw the side promoted to the newly formed Tweede Divisie, where he guided the team to a third place finish in that league in 2016-17.
