The Philadelphia Union II returned to the pitch for their first game of 2021 in a friendly with West Chester United at YSC Sports on Saturday and picked up right where they left off in the fall with a 3-1 win.
Sean Bettenhausen scored a must see goal to double the lead after Jack Jasinski opened the scoring early and Anthony Ramirez converted a PK after Lucas Mellor put one in from the penalty spot for West Chester United after Levi Maruca drew the penalty.
The teams played three periods instead of two halves in the match, which was also the first for Marlon LeBlanc since officially being named head coach.
