Frank Bertucci was a renaissance man, a lover of Shakespeare, mysteries, the Penn Relays, traveling, and soccer.
In fact, it was difficult to find a bigger soccer authority or enthusiast.
He covered soccer on all levels, including the World Cup, and his passion and knowledge regarding the sport clearly came through in his writing.
A Philadelphia newspaper journalist for 24 years, 14 years as a writer at the Inquirer and 10 more as a copy editor at the Daily News, Bertucci died in May 2015 at the age of 68.
