Union battle Chicago to 0-0 draw in third preseason scrimmage

Philadelphia Union and Chicago Fire competed to a 0-0 draw in the team's third preseason scrimmage today at Joe DiMaggio Complex in Clearwater, Florida.

The Union created several chances in the first half of the match against Chicago, with CJ Sapong, Fafa Picault and Ilsinho finding opportunities around the net.

Philadelphia's defense, led by goalkeeper John McCarthy, shutout Chicago's aggressive attack in the first 45 minutes of action.

The Boys in Blue then made their first round of substitutions at the half, with the score still 0-0:

The Union entered the second half of the match and continued to press high against the Fire.
