Philadelphia Union Academy grad Raheem Taylor-Parkes is heading to Switzerland to begin his professional career with third division Switzerland club FC Stade Lausanne-Ouchy.
The pacy 20-year-old attacker spent the past two seasons at the University of Virginia, scoring a pair of goals and delivering three assists in 29 appearances. He made two appearances and played 59 minutes for Bethlehem Steel FC in 2016 and had 17 goals in 50 appearances for the Philadelphia Union U16 and U18 teams in the U.S. Development Academy from 2014-2016.
He was offered a contract after spending a couple weeks in the French-speaking part of Switzerland on trial and had the decision to make about whether to go now or wait until after the fall season.
