Tranquillo Barnetta's Philadelphia Union Legacy

Philadelphia Union have had an abundance of players pass through the club throughout their history. As the Union enter the offseason, there will be key roster decisions being made as the calendar turns to 2017. One starter from the 2016 squad who will not be returning next season is Tranquillo Barnetta.

Barnetta made the decision to return to Switzerland to rejoin Swiss Super League club FC St. Gallen, where he began his professional career in 2002. During his time with Philadelphia Union Barnetta appeared in 40 matches while recording six goals and seven assists. The Swiss midfielder provided a strong presence for Philadelphia on the pitch.
