Tranquillo Barnetta has become a household name among the Philadelphia Union faithful. Despite starting the season injured, the Swiss midfielder has made his presence felt in the 2016 season.
In his second appearance of the season, Barnetta gave the Union a 2-1 victory over Orlando City SC on national television. In the 90th minute Barnetta scored on a world class free-kick finding the back of the net after striking the top left portion of the crossbar. Fast-forward to this past week against NYCFC where he started for the first time this season and again was a factor in the match.
