With the victory, the Union are now unbeaten in their last four contests owning a record of 2-0-2, while outscoring their opponents 10-3 during this stretch.
The Union showed a physical presence in the first half against D.C. United. Philadelphia received two yellow cards within the first ten minutes of action. Fabinho was booked on a challenge in the fourth minute. Five minutes later Union Captain Alejandro Bedoya was also shown a yellow card.
