Jack Elliott gets his first MLS start

Two weeks removed from making his first MLS appearance, Jack Elliott got his first MLS start. Paired up with Richie Marquez in the middle, Elliott played the full 90 and showed he could handle the big stage. Elliott completed 42 passes in the match and had a 75 percent passing rating. In the 69th minute, Rodney Wallace found himself with a wide open net, but Elliot made a big stop in front of the goal line to keep him from scoring. Head Coach Jim Curtin said Elliott earned the start and played well against New York City FC's star, David Villa.
