CHESTER, PA — Subaru Park was bathed in blue light Tuesday night as a thank you to the healthcare workers on the front lines of the coronavirus fight.
The park will be lit up with blue lights and a message of thanks on the main video board every Tuesday for the rest of the month in conjunction with the City of Philadelphia’s “Philly Shines Blue” initiative to honor healthcare workers.
In addition to buildings across the city lighting up blue, the cultural institutions on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the boathouses along the Schuylkill River, LOVE Park and Dilworth Park are also participating in the initiative coordinated in partnership with the City of Philadelphia, the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) of Philadelphia, the Parkway Council and the Center City District.
