The Philadelphia Union will have a chance to play in front of a full crowd at Subaru Park for the first time since the global pandemic shut down soccer in a match against the Columbus Crew on June 23, the team announced on Monday.
“Philadelphia Union fans are the backbone of this organization and we cannot wait to welcome back all fans and the electricity they bring,” Philadelphia Union President Tim McDermott said in a news release. “We are truly excited for the Philadelphia fans who have waited for this moment for over a year.
