One of the early benefits for Bethlehem Steel FC training down in Clearwater, Florida was for the team to not only play in wide spaces but also get opportunities to impress the coaching staff of Philadelphia Union.
In the Union's opening preseason scrimmage against New York Red Bulls on Wednesday afternoon, three Steel FC-signed players were called upon to face off against MLS competition. Michee Ngalina and Ben Ofeimu started the second half of the contest while midfielder Zach Zandi came on as a second-half substitute. The trio, along with the rest of their Steel FC teammates, continue training this week in preparation for a closed-door scrimmage against D.
