In his first career MLS game against Vancouver Whitecaps, Jay Simpson was held in check, registering only one shot in 61 minutes. In his second game though, it looked like he would dominate the day.
The forward from London registered his first goal of the year in the 11th minute against Toronto FC on March 11. However, Simpson’s outing was cut short after going down in the 29th minute.

“He took a pretty serious crack to his rib area,” head coach Jim Curtin said.
