Sébastien Le Toux was traded away from the Philadelphia Union twice during his playing career, but on Saturday he was given a permanent place in the club that can’t be transferred with the unveiling of the Ring of Honor.
“They traded me once, they traded me twice but now I’m here forever, no one can trade me from that,” Le Toux said, recounting a joke he was making with a friend. “I’m a part of this team and this club and I can’t be anymore proud of that.”
Le Toux, who is the team’s all-time leading goal scorer with 50, was joined at the ceremony by former teammates Brian Carroll and Zach Pfeffer.
