Santi Moar’s bid to become the first member of Bethlehem Steel FC to claim a United Soccer League award came up short, finishing tied for the runner-up spot.

Reno 1868 FC’s Chris Wehan won the honor, while Louisville City FC’s Richie Ballard and Moar tied for second. All voting was done by team management and a league-wide media panel that included representation from every USL market.

In his first professional season, Moar helped Steel FC to its first USL Cup Playoff appearance. A fourth-round selection in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft, Moar played a major role in Steel FC’s first trip to the playoffs in the club's second year of existence.
