Saint Joseph’s loses first conference game; other local teams struggle on the road

Saint Joseph’s was unable to overcome two goals scored 32 seconds apart in the first half in a 2-1 loss to Davidson on Wednesday.

The loss was the Hawks (6-6-1) first in Atlantic 10 play after winning their first three conference matches for the first time since 2007.

Davidson forward Maxi Pragnell opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a penalty kick and then headed home a goal 32 seconds later to put the visitors in a commanding lead.
