Lancaster native Russell Canouse is moving to 2. Bundesliga club VfL Bochum for the next two seasons.
Canouse made one appearance for TSG Hoffenheim 1899 in the Bundesliga last season, subbing into a game against VfL Wolfsburg in March. His loan to the second division will expire in June 2018.
The 21-year-old midfielder joined the TSG Hoffenheim’s youth setup in 2011 after playing for PA Classics and the New York Red Bulls Academy. He played with former Philadelphia Union midfielder Zach Pfeffer on Hoffenheim’s U19 team in 2013. He was a regular with the U.
