The comparisons are inevitable. When two players are drafted back-to-back media, fans and the industry’s landscape can’t help but compare the two. Keegan Rosenberry and Brandon Vincent will forever be associated with one-another after they were drafted No.3 and No. 4 overall respectively in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft. Vincent was acquired by Chicago via trade with New York City FC along with regular allocation money in exchange for midfielder Jack Harrison on Jan. 14, 2016. Rosenberry was drafted by Philadelphia Union.
Vincent proved his worth at the collegiate level. He scored 13 goals and added three assists in 80 career games at Stanford, receiving NSCAA first-team All-American and Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year honors as a junior and senior and co-captaining the Cardinal to their first national title as a senior.
