Philadelphia Union drew with Montreal Impact 3-3 on Saturday afternoon at Talen Energy Stadium in front of a crowd of 15,107. The draw snapped the Union’s four-match pointless streak. Philadelphia will head for the west coast this week when they take on Los Angeles Galaxy at the StubHub Center next Saturday.
The Union jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the fifth minute thanks to the right foot of Roland Alberg. After a turnover in the Montreal zone, Union striker CJ Sapong grabbed possession and dished a pass to Alberg in the box. Alberg danced around Montreal defender Laurent Ciman and beat goalkeeper Evan Bush to give Philadelphia the early lead.
