Philadelphia Union continue to rack up the league recognition. Roland Alberg and Ilsinho have been named to MLS’ Team of the Week (Week 18) for their performances in a 3-0 victory over rival D.C. United. Midfielder Chris Pontius was also recognized to the TOTW bench.
Alberg gave the Union a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute of the match after converting a penalty kick. Alberg took a stutter step then drilled the attempt into the back of the net giving him his sixth goal of the season in MLS competition tying him with Pontius for the team lead.
