The Philadelphia Union are reportedly close to hiring a new assistant coach from the United States Men’s National Team staff.
In a report published on the The Washington Post website Sunday, Steven Goff wrote that Noonan is “on the verge of becoming a Philadelphia Union assistant coach.”
The 37-year-old Ballwin, Missouri native joined the USMNT staff after Bruce Arena took over the head coaching role last November. His contract, along with the other members of the interim staff, is set to expire in March, according to Goff’s report.
The Indiana University grad served as an assistant under Arena with LA Galaxy for four seasons after his career ended with the Galaxy in 2012.
