The Union are in “final discussions” to bring in Mexican attacking midfielder Marco Fabián, per ESPN’s Taylor Twellman. Fabián is currently under contract with Eintracht Frankfurt of the Bundesliga.
The 29-year-old would immediately become the highest-profile signing in club history. Fabián has made 42 appearances and scored nine goals for El Tri since making his international debut in 2012.
Fabián joined Eintracht in December of 2015, scoring eight times in 44 appearances there. The majority of those appearances came in his first two seasons, as he’s only played eight Bundesliga games since May of 2017.
