The anticipated payday for a portion of the Auston Trusty transfer to Arsenal FC might not be coming to the Philadelphia Union, after all.
A report on the Trusty deal in the London publication Evening Standard states that “there is no fee involved in the deal” between the Colorado Rapids and Arsenal FC, two clubs both owned by Kroenke Sports & Entertainment.
The Union negotiated a sell-on percentage in the deal that sent the former homegrown defender to the Rapids in 2019 in exchange for up to $750,000 in allocation money.
