All eyes were on Brenden Aaronson Sunday night. The 18-year-old South Jersey native had his first Major League Soccer start against the MLS Cup Champions in front of 45,000 fans at Mercedez-Benz Stadium.
His first start came after being in the 18 but not seeing the field in the first two games of the season. He replaced Marco Fabian, who was suspended after picking up a red card against Sporting Kansas City.
Aaronson made his presence known throughout the game, creating high pressure and giving continuous hustle. He left his mark on the game in a big way in the 47th minute.
