After his squad nabbed a point against rivals Columbus Crew, Jim Curtin was glad to see a fiery response from his team after a hard-to-swallow midweek loss.

Stepping in and stepping up

Curtin made changes to the lineup in order to rest key players and keep others fresh for the stretch run in October. Warren Creavalle, Mark McKenzie, and Fabinho all came in for praise from the head coach.

“A lot of travel, a lot of miles on the legs,” Curtin began. “We kept three guys fresh, so about a third of the team with Fabinho coming in and giving us a really big 90 minutes.
