When the Union travel to Washington this weekend to take on DC United, it will be the last time Philadelphia will play in RFK Stadium, barring any US Open Cup or playoff matchups there. DC United travels to Talen Energy Stadium on June 24 for the final meeting between these two clubs, and at the end of the 2017 season, DC United will move to a brand new stadium.
And while RFK Stadium may not be the favorite place for players to play, for Chris Pontius, Saturday's game will be more meaningful than most.
"It's the place where I started my career," Pontius said.
