– Philadelphia Union today announced that the organization’s USL club, Bethlehem Steel FC, will become Philadelphia Union II ahead of the 2020 USL Championship season, as the club continues to further cultivate and streamline the player pathway from the academy to the first team.
Union II will continue Steel FC’s tradition as a key step for young players within the Union organization, offering highly competitive, professional games at Talen Energy Stadium and the chance to train alongside the first team at the Power Training Complex.
"We continue to invest and believe in our academy players and the young, talented players we discover through our scouting network.
