The Philadelphia Union added another depth option, signing center back Ken Tribbett to the club.
The Philadelphia Union announced that they have also signed Ken Tribbett to the team. The 6-foot-2 center back has impressed in camp according to Union manager Jim Curtin, and it made sense that the Union brought him in from Bethlehem Steel. While he will most likely be a depth option, the Union have historically never had depth at center back so this signing should prove to be a good one.
In the Union's press release, Sporting Director Earnie Stewart had this to say about Tribbett:
"We have always valued Ken’s ability and potential, which was a prime reason we were so adamant to keep him within our organization," Philadelphia Union Sporting Director Earnie Stewart said.
