The Philadelphia Union announced the signing of English striker Jay Simpson from England's League 2 side Leyton Orient earlier this afternoon. The 28 year old will occupy an international slot on the team, and has played a majority of his career in England's top leagues.
Simpson started his career belonging to his youth club Arsenal, however was loaned to a number of Championship flight teams during his contract with the EPL giants. He would be transferred to Hull City for three years, playing on loan at Millwall for one of those years.
