CHESTER, Pa. (May 8, 2019) – Philadelphia Union announced today that the club has traded forward David Accam to Columbus Crew SC in exchange for $400,000 of General Allocation Money, $100,000 of Targeted Allocation Money and an international roster spot. The international roster spot is for the duration of the 2019 season, while the allocation money will convey in 2020. The trade was completed prior to the close of the primary transfer window on May 7, 2019.
“This is a decision that we believe is best for the future of the Philadelphia Union in terms of our roster planning in both the short- and mid-term, as well as for David,” said Ernst Tanner, Union Sporting Director.
