Nashville SC will pay a guaranteed $50,000 and up to $225,000 in allocation money for three SuperDraft picks from the Philadelphia Union, the team announced Tuesday.
The Union are trading the No. 46 and No. 73 picks in this year’s SuperDraft and next year’s first round pick for a guaranteed $50,000 in 20221 general allocation money. Up to $175,000 in additional allocation money tied to performance metrics of the players Nashville ends up drafting with the picks.
“Our philosophy is, and continues to be, focused on our academy pipeline as a source for cultivating young talent for our first team,” Ernst Tanner, Union Sporting Director, said in a news release.
