The Philadelphia Union and Toronto FC split the points tonight, as they were both able to score two goals a piece. The Union opened the scoring in the 11th minute of this one, as new striker Jay Simpson opened his Union scoring account with a low header after a cross into the box from Fabian Herbers was nodded on by Chris Pontius. Unfortunately that was about all we saw of Simpson as he had to be subbed out in the 29th minute because of a rib injury and CJ Sapong took his place.
