For the past two months, teams all around Philadelphia have competed in the Philadelphia International Unity Cup, a world-cup style tournament designed to incorporate people of all nationalities around their love of soccer. Now, there's just one week until the championship match.
This year's installment of the tournament had 48 teams competing, representing 47 countries and one refugee team. Entering the championship match, only two teams remain, Liberia and Sierra Leone. These two teams, along with the consolation match of Puerto Rico vs. Jamaica, will battle it out on the Lincoln Financial Field on November 11.
November 11 will be more than just about the soccer matches.
