Two former Philadelphia forwards have found new employers, as Danny Mwanga and Chandler Hoffman joined second- and third-division sides, respectively, earlier today.
Mwanga, the club's first draft pick back in 2010, has signed with the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the NASL. There he reunites with former teammate Freddy Adu, who recently signed a new contract. Since Peter Nowak sent Mwanga to the Portland Timbers in exchange for Jorge Perlaza in 2012, the Generation adidas graduate's career has stalled. Mwanga has bounced from team to team, scoring only three MLS goals in the past three and a half seasons.
