March 19, 2011. Philadelphia Union kick off their second season in Major League Soccer once again away from their home fans but unlike their inaugural match, the Boys in Blue walked away with three points.
In a lineup that featured Sebastien Le Toux, Carlos Ruiz and Brian Carroll, it was the club's first captain Danny Califf making the match a memorable one for fans. After a long throw in from Sheanon Williams that made its way to Seba in the center of the box, the Union legend's effort crashed off the post. Reacting quickly to the ball, Califf beat his defender and smashed it in for the match winner.
