McKenzie, Santos injuries won’t keep either player out of the lineup long

Mark McKenzie and Sergio Santos both received positive news on the injuries they picked up against the New York Red Bulls.

“Mark McKenzie it looks like will be fine even for this Sunday’s game against Columbus so no hamstring tear or anything there,” head coach Jim Curtin said Tuesday. “(He) just felt a little bit of tightness and the MRIs showed a little bit of just swelling around the muscle.”

Santos has a grade 1 hamstring strain, Curtin said.

“Those are usually a week and a half to two weeks and he’ll be back,” Curtin said.
