MLSSoccer.com's Bobby Warshaw named Philadelphia Union defender Olivier Mbaizo as one of his five MLS players poised to make a big leap in 2019.
Warshaw in his article expects Mbaizo to get his opportunities with the Union since only he and Raymon Gaddis are the only two right backs on the squad. The 21-year-old had a strong 2018 season with Bethlehem Steel FC while Gaddis broke the Union's all-time starts and appearance record.
Warshaw added that another player to keep an eye on is homegrown midfielder, Derrick Jones. "Preseason friendlies suggest the Union are going to play a diamond in the midfield, creating at least one more central spot for Jones to fight for.
