Marco Fabián mentioned the NBA in his introductory press conference, went to his first Sixers game a couple days after arriving in Philadelphia and on Saturday night celebrated his first goal from open play with a basketball-inspired celebration.
Fabián started the goal-scoring play off with a wonderful ball ahead to David Accam in space, who cut a pass back to him for a left-footed strike in the box that FC Cincinnati goalkeeper Spencer Richey had no chance to stop.
The 29-year-old then grabbed a ball and bounced it toward the corner where captain Alejandro Bedoya held out his arms to make a basketball hoop for him to slam the ball.
