To say Keegan Rosenberry had a good rookie season is an understatement. Rosenberry flew under the radar during the MLS Combine and was met by surprise when he was drafted third overall in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft – but during his first regular season in MLS, Rosenberry has turned many skeptics into believers.
After Sunday’s match, Rosenberry became the first rookie in MLS history to play a full 3,060 minutes in a season and the only field player in the league to reach the feat this season. He joins the likes of Jose Goncalves, Jalil Anibaba, Austin Berry, Drew Moor and Sebastien Le Toux as only the sixth player of all time to reach this accomplishment.
