More than three weeks after arriving on loan from FC Metz in France, Cape Verde international midfielder Jamiro Monteiro has been cleared to make his MLS debut.
The 25-year-old has been ineligible to play in the last three games awaiting his visa and international transfer certificate to be finalized. He was initially expected to be available for last weekend’s game against the Columbus Crew but there was as delay in his ITC being finalized.
“I think he adds a new special dynamic to our midfield,” head coach Jim Curtin said at his press conference on Wednesday.
