Hours after CCL exit, Jim Curtin says he gave two stranded Club América fans a ride to their hotel

Philadelphia Union head coach accidentally told on himself for essentially being the real-life embodiment of Ted Lasso in a press conference Friday when he let it slip that he gave two Club América fans a lift to their hotel hours after the Concacaf Champions League semifinal had ended in Chester on Wednesday night.

“They were the nicest people, the nicest family and they were literally stuck and they said there were no Ubers,” Curtin said. “Someone was charging them $250. I asked where they were trying to go, they were going down to a hotel on Arch (and) I said ‘I’m going to the city’ so they did jump in.
