In the 78th minute against Toronto FC, Fabian Herbers worked the ball in the middle of the attacking third, closing in on the 18-yard box. CJ Sapong slipped behind the defense, and Herbers sent him a through ball exactly as he did, allowing Sapong to go in on Toronto FC goalkeeper Clint Irwin one-on-one. After a little shake and bake, Sapong had a wide open net and scored the final goal in the 2-2 draw.
For his brilliant pass, Herbers earned top assist honors for Week 2 by MLS. He also moved into 8th all-time for assists in a Union kit.
