Now there’s something you don’t see every day.
The Harrisburg City Islanders don’t usually have to worry about losing players to international duty. The last time an active City Islander received a national team call up during the season was... well I’m not sure, actually. Quite a while, that’s for sure. So it was a nice surprise to hear that defender Abass Mohammed had been called up to represent Ghana as they prepare for their next World Cup qualifier on October 7th against Uganda.
Mohammed had been a big part of the Harrisburg defense earlier in the season.
